What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga therapy is individualized, integrative, and client-centered care that empowers self-healing through yoga's applications and tools to reduce suffering, increase ease, and develop resilience. Yoga's applications and tools instill body, mind, and spirit practices that cultivate eudaemonia. All you need is a willingness to be open to what your body tells you, maintain an open dialogue with me, and allow transformation to occur naturally.


As a yoga therapist, I work to bridge the gap between biomedical and integrative healthcare.  I look at the whole person, listen to what is happening, and then curate a practice to address needs and concerns on a mental, physical, energetic, and subtle body level.  I can collaborate with your current medical team or recommend new team members, to ensure a whole-person healing approach is in place. I specialize in injury management, chronic pain, and functional movement. If there is an aspect best suited for a specialist, I will refer you and collaborate when appropriate. Most importantly, I work with you, empower you, and enhance your ability to be an active leader in your path to well-being.

Before we meet, I will send you some paperwork to fill out that will allow me to begin to formulate a plan of care for you. Our first meeting is an intake and assessment appointment that lasts 60-90 minutes. We start with a dialogue about your needs and goals. I then conduct a musculoskeletal assessment, which informs your plan of care. Next, I introduce you to yoga techniques such as asana, pranayama, and meditation. You will leave our first session with at least one yogic technique to begin to practice on your own, along with supporting material such as a handout or recording.

We will then schedule follow-up sessions to cultivate a program that enables you to establish a level of connection with your body that facilitates a deep understanding of how to create balance and ease, meet your goals and needs, and improve your well-being. Subsequent sessions alter and hone your practice to support you as you progress. E-mail support is available between sessions. My implementation of yoga in this fashion ensures you an individualized healthy, safe, and rewarding approach.

The initial intake and assessment is $150 in-person and $100 remotely. 

Subsequent sessions are $120 per hour in-person and $80 remotely. 


Payment is due at the time of service. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide 24hour notice. If you do not attend a scheduled appointment or do not provide 24hour notice to reschedule an appointment, you will be responsible for the session’s full payment. 24hour notice allows me to offer that time to a wait-listed client.
