Practice With Intention
Jennifer Pierotti is an accomplished and experienced yoga therapist and teacher. She curates individualized therapeutic practices that meet her clients’ goals and needs, leaving them feeling empowered, joyful, and healthier. When not immersed in her passion for yoga, she is often reading, creating unique culinary experiences with her husband, walking her two dogs, or making her way to Oahu where she feels most at home. Jennifer welcomes the opportunity to work with all clients looking to enhance their quality of life and specializes in injury management, chronic pain, and functional movement.
Jennifer Pierotti’s method of teaching yoga was developed from her own experience rehabilitating herself from severe yet cathartic injuries. She utilized Ashtanga yoga and yoga therapy to restore and rebuild her shoulder and hip while simultaneously finding balance in her life. During this arduous yet insightful journey, she cultivated a teaching and guidance process that enables her clients to develop a level of connection with their bodies, facilitating a deep understanding of how to create balance and ease.
What sets Jennifer apart from other yoga therapists and teachers is her ability to see and read bodies. Jennifer evaluates each client’s anatomy, combined with physical challenges, to inform her plan of care related to the panchamaya kosha model, incorporating asana, therapeutics, pranayama, and meditation techniques. Her depth of knowledge in anatomy and physiology produces precise alignment cues and hands-on adjustments that elevate both beginning and advanced practices. Her implementation of yoga in this fashion ensures each client an individualized healthy, safe, and rewarding approach.
Jennifer’s diverse and evolving background began in 2009. She is a YogaWorks certified, E-RYT 500, and YACEP yoga teacher through mentorships and training, predominately under Maty Ezraty. Her yoga therapy background began in 2011 with Jasmine Lieb and then evolved into a Master’s of Science in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrated Health. Soon she will also be a C-IAYT. In 2012, Jennifer began designing and implementing yoga and yoga therapy programs, assisting in addiction recovery at Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Facilities. Since 2014, she annually organizes and conducts 200 & 300-hour YogaWorks teacher trainings. Her work in these demographics continues to be some of the most rewarding in her career.
Jennifer Pierotti is hands down one of the most gifted young teachers out there today. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and deep love for the practice of yoga permeates any space she’s in. It is not surprising that she has cultivated a loyal following of students as her radiant and inspiring energy is contagious to be around.~Sonya Cottle
Jennifer Pierotti is an exceptional teacher. She is fiercely dedicated to the study and practice of yoga and consequently inspires students to work with focus and intention. I appreciate and value her vast knowledge of alignment, sequencing, and anatomy. Furthermore, Jennifer teaches with wonderful clarity, genuine kindness, and warm humor. She absolutely “sees” her students.~Birgitte Kristen
Jennifer Pierotti’s knowledge and understanding of how individual bone structure defines a person’s asana practice is outstanding. She is able to adapt a practice to any level of ability, regardless of age, flexibility, or injury. Her teaching style is eminently accessible. She explains complex concepts in a simple and direct way, so you get it. Jennifer uses humor in a way I really appreciate. In the many years I’ve practiced yoga, I’ve studied with many senior teachers in several different styles. As outstanding as Jennifer is now, I know that she is well on the way to being a very significant influence in the yoga world. If you have an opportunity to attend any of Jennifer’s classes, I suggest you leap at it.~Rraine Wadja
